In the last book "Blood Promise" Dimitri got a Strigoi and Rose tried to kill him, because she had promised him before. Finally she stabbed him with her stake and he fall into a river. But in the end, when Rose is back at the academy she got a letter saying : "Have you forgot all lessons? I'll come and teach you again.
